Construction and Real Estate

At Wolf & Company, we provide specialized and comprehensive services to many contractors and subcontractors under one umbrella entitled Construction and Real Estate Industry Group. Wolf & Company Construction and Real Estate Industry Group members have extensive industry experience as well as strong technical accounting and tax experience. We realize these clients cannot afford to be represented by a CPA firm that does not understand the complex issues and regulations confronting this industry.

Wolf & Company has extensive experience with and understanding of the issues that closely held construction companies and their owners are facing, and how they can develop and implement effective business solutions. The firm serves more than 170 general contractors and subcontractors, residential, commercial and industrial real estate developers, owners and managers. Of our 18 partners, 10 have experience in real estate and construction. Additionally, 10 of our managers and 11 of our professional staff have experience serving construction and real estate clients. These professionals are actively involved in supporting the Chicagoland construction and real estate industry through active membership and leadership in such associations as Northern Illinois Homebuilders Association, Underground Contractors Association, American Subcontractors Association, Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association, Homebuilders Association of Greater Chicago and the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association. Members of our staff have also been certified as Construction Industry Technicians (CIT) through a program designed by NAWIC and Clemson University.

To augment our knowledge base and resources, we have access to a network of independent CPA firms. PKF North American Network firms share client service, technical and educational resources in a wide variety of industries and service areas. More than 30 of the U.S. based firms provide services to the construction industry. Wolf & Company LLP is a leader of a special construction niche group, which provides both special workshops and an ongoing dialogue on new technical and regulatory concerns and solutions to PKF firms. We are also a founding member of a new association of PKF firms dedicated to serving the needs of companies in the construction industry, ProfitCrew. Through this association, we have additional resources available to our clients, including benchmark surveys and Best Practice guides.
